Choosing a style for your dog

The right style is the one that looks most like them. Every portrait here starts with your photo and is turned into artwork in our signature style, so choose by the dog's personality rather than by the technique.

Soft and classic

Watercolour and oil painting styles keep the natural features and expression and add a painted finish. They suit older dogs, calm dogs, and memorial portraits, and they sit easily in most rooms.

Royal and costume

Renaissance and royal portraits put the dog in a frame, a uniform or a crown. The dog's face stays true to the photo; only the setting changes. These are the ones people buy as gifts.

From photo to framed portrait

1. Choose a style, a size and a finish – a framed print, an unframed print, or a digital file.
2. Upload your photo. The preview appears in seconds, and you can change the style, background or photo as many times as you like before you pay.
3. We print it exactly as previewed and frame it. Production takes 3–5 working days and UK delivery 2–3 days after that; the digital file is ready within 4 hours if you need it sooner.

Common questions

Which photo should I use? One taken at the dog's eye level, in daylight, with the face sharp and nothing covering the eyes. Phone photos are fine; the original file is better than a screenshot.

Can you use an old or blurry photo? Usually, yes – most memorial portraits are made from older pictures. Upload the largest version you have and check the preview; if it doesn't look right, contact us before you order.

Can I put two dogs in one portrait? Yes. Upload a photo with both dogs in it and generate the preview – the two-pet options are on the portrait pages.

Do you make portraits of dogs who have passed away? Yes, and they're some of the most common orders we get. Any photo you have will do.
